Founded in 2004 under Sri Balaji Society (SBS), the Balaji Institute of Management and Human Resources Development (BIMHRD) is committed to deliver quality, industry-relevant management education rooted in discipline, determination and dedication.
The journey of SBS began in 1998 with the launch of flagship MBA programmes. Over the years, these programmes have earned a strong reputation for academic rigour, corporate relevance, and consistent placements. Having a strong focus on successful outcomes, the institute has helped shape the careers of thousands of alumni, who are working in top companies across diverse sectors, in India and overseas.
This vision was pioneered by the visionary educationist and Army veteran, late Prof. Dr. (Col.) A. Balasubramanian. His leadership infused the institution with a DNA of integrity, discipline, and outcome-driven learning. What began as a focused mission to create industry-ready professionals has evolved into Sri Balaji University, Pune (SBUP), a private university established by SBS. Situated at Tathawade, Pune, SBUP brought together multiple institutions on a single integrated campus and produced over 28,000+ successful alumni.
While the university has expanded in scale, the core philosophy remains unchanged — industry alignment, academic discipline, and placement-focused learning. To support this mission, the University has developed the ecosystem of modern infrastructure, residential facilities, academic initiatives for global learning exposure, and a vibrant campus.
