With immense pleasure, we announce that w.e.f. 1st April 2022 Sri Balaji University, Pune, has become an esteemed member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

Be a UGC-recognized university graduate with at least 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved category) SC/ST Candidates in the final year of Graduation/Degree can also apply, however the admission will be granted provisionally. We have four-seater rooms. Hostel accommodation is provided on First-Come-First-Serve basis restricted to first year only for the period June to April. Preference will be given to outstation students. Hostel allotment will be done only on the basis of receipt of the requisite fee of Rs. 91,500/- (Rupees Ninety-One Thousand Five Hundred only). Scholarship Schemes

 
Basic Eligibility Criteria for MBA Scholarship Opportunities
  • The candidate must apply through Sri Balaji University, Pune’s online/offline Scholarship Process.

  • The candidate must clear SBUP’s selection process (GD, PI and Essay).

  • Eligible students may apply for one or more scholarships separately on the links provided on SBUP website before the stipulated date and time.

  • If the candidate is eligible, he/she will be awarded only one scholarship for which he / she is eligible.

  • If the student was awarded the scholarship in First year in such case to continue the scholarship in Second year then he / she must have fulfilled the following criteria;

    • Must have passed with minimum 70 % marks in earlier year.

    • Should not have any backlog in Internal as well as external subjects.

    • Should have minimum 80 % LHR in the earlier semesters/year.

    • Should not have his / her name in the ‘Red List’.

    • Any student who is found with indisciplined behavior in earlier year/semester shall be disqualified.

  • As per the conditions mentioned above in Point No. 5, the students who are fulfilling these conditions are eligible for getting second year scholarship. The Director of the respective Institute, will scrutinize and verify the eligibility of those students (mentioned under point No. 5) and send the list of eligible students to the Registrar’s Office for further process by 25th June.

  • As mentioned in ‘Sant Janabai Scholarship’ Point No. C, the Director of the respective Institute will scrutinize and verify the eligibility of those students and will send the list of eligible students by 25th June to the Registrar’s Office for consideration of 100% scholarship to them in first year.

  • The First Year student who awarded Dr. P.C. Shejwalkar Scholarship (For EWS student), to continue the scholarship in the second year; he /she must have passed minimum 70% marks in earlier year and should submit the valid EWS certificate in their institute in Sthe econd Year also. Basic Eligibility Criteria No. 5 ii), iii), iv) and v) will remain applicable. The Institutes will verify the EWS certificate and will prepare the eligible students list and send to the Registrar’s Office for further process by 25th June.

  • The scholarship is recommended to each student for the Batch 2025-2027.

  • If any student who has been granted the scholarship cancels the admission or discontinues the program in the subsequent year, the scholarship amount shall be recovered.

 

Note: The CGPA conversion into percentage for 10th, 12th and graduation marks should be uploaded/submitted by the student along with supporting documents of respective Board / University.

Note:
  • The list of eligible students who are finally selected for this scholarship will be declared after the completion of Scholarship award process.

  • All the documents/certificates which are submitted must be valid for the current academic year i.e. 2025-2026.

  • Supporting documents from the competent government authority will be scrutinized by the scholarship selection committee and if found incorrect, the scholarship facility will be withdrawn and the next eligible student will be considered.

  • If the student/s has paid the initial fees and subsequently selected for the scholarship the surplus amount paid by them (If any) will be refunded to him/her.

  • The decision of the scholarship selection committee would be the final and cannot be challenged.

This scholarship is only for the wards of JCOs and other ranks service/ex-servicemen from the Artillery regiments of the Indian Army. Complete academic fee for a total of 8 students (4 boys and 4 girls) will be waived off by SBUP.

The Director-General of Artillery, Delhi has sent an official notification to all the 6 HQs of various artillery centers – HQ Southern comd. (arty), (HQ South-Western comd. (arty), HQ Eastern comd. (arty), HQ Western comd. (arty), HQ Northern comd (arty) and HQ Central comd (arty) – announcing the scholarship.

 

Selection Process
The eligible candidate’s parents must obtain a recommendation letter from their respective HQ and submit the same to the institute along with an application. If there are many applications, merit will be the criteria for selecting the top 8 students, by a University Committee.

Number of Scholarship: 08 (1 boy and 1 girl from each management institute of SBUP)

A small write-up about Prof. M.S. Pillai Memorial Scholarship by our beloved founder-chancellor, Professor Dr. (Col.) A Balasubramanian in his golden words-


“Prof. M. S. Pillai was an innovator and an extraordinary professor and management educationist. He was a genius, known for bold initiatives in management education. I happen to be one of his blessed students. After my retirement from the army, when I came to Symbiosis, Prof. M.S. Pillai was leaving for a Kerala-based institute. But soon he came back to start SCMHRD while I was running sims. There was a healthy collaboration between us, and we complemented each other, resulting in growth, both for ourselves as well as our students.


Prof. M. S. Pillai introduced meditation and Vipassana as compulsory subjects for his management students. He also mentored many corporate leaders. He was a good learner and a great teacher, totally devoted to his students. He was a kindhearted but tough disciplinarian. An excellent counsellor. Thousands of students have benefited from his training and guidance. Above all, prof pillai was known for his humility and humanity. He was a role model and as his disciple and chancellor of SBUP, it is my duty to cherish his memory through the Prof. M. S. Pillai Memorial Scholarship.

  1. If a deserving candidate is recommended by m.S. Pillai family, then he/she will be Given priority.
  2. A committee comprising of industry experts who were students of Prof. M.S. Pillai and representatives of the Sadhana Educational & Empowerment Foundation will nominate two students for this scholarship.

It is an 100% scholarship and free hostel accommodation.

This scholarship is for the dependents of “uniformed people” such as defence personnel, paramilitary, and police officials.


War widows who are in receipt of a liberalized pension


The deserving dependent’s parent should be equivalent to a junior commissioned officer (JCO) in the army, navy, and air force (like naib subedar, subedar, subedar major, hony lt., and hony capt.) or less than the rank, paramilitary forces, and police officials.

 

Selection process

A committee comprising university officials, headed by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor will nominate the eligible students for this scholarship.

 

Fee structure

25% of two years academic fees will be the scholarship to these students.

As per the government of Maharashtra, gr no. Sankirna/-2022/p.K.91/vishi-4, dt. 22nd June 2023, this scholarship is to be given to 10% of the total admitted students, belonging to Maharashtra domicile and who belong to the economically weaker section (EWS), irrespective of caste, on the basis of merit. The scholarship is 50% concession on the academic fees.


This scholarship is named as Dr. P. C. Shejwalkar Memorial Scholarship (for EWS students).

50% of two years academic fees will be the scholarship for these students.

Bhimrao Ramji alias Babasaheb Ambedkar (14 April 1891 – 6 December 1956) was an indian jurist, economist, social reformer, and political leader who headed the committee drafting the Constitution of India from the constituent assembly debates, served as law and justice minister in the first cabinet of Jawaharlal Nehru, and inspired the Dalit Buddhist movement after renouncing Hinduism.


Ambedkar graduated from Elphinstone College, University of Bombay, and studied economics at Columbia University and the London School of economics, receiving doctorates in 1927 and 1923, respectively and was among a handful of indian students to have done so at either institution in the 1920s. He also trained in the law at Gray's Inn, London. In his early career, he was an economist, professor, and lawyer. His later life was marked by his political activities; he became involved in campaigning and negotiations for India's independence, publishing journals, advocating political rights and social freedom for Dalits, and contributing significantly to the establishment of the state of India. In 1956, he converted to Buddhism, initiating mass conversions of Dalits.


In 1990, the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian award, was posthumously conferred on Ambedkar. The salutation Jai Bhim used by followers honours him. He is also referred to by the honorific babasaheb, meaning "Respected father".


In order to honour the stupendous work and contribution of Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, SBUP proposes to introduce a scholarship in his name, the details of which are as follows:

  1. This scholarship will be awarded to backward class students belonging to SC/ST and having domicile in Maharashtra only
  2. This scholarship will be of 25% of the two-year academic fees
  3. The candidates should have scored min 60% marks at the graduation examination.
  4. Candidate should preferably be from ebc category

 

Selection process 

A committee comprising university officials, headed by the vice chancellor, will nominate the eligible students for this scholarship.

25% of two years academic fees will be the scholarship to these students.

Mary Teresa Bojaxhiu, MC (26 August 1910 - 5 September 1997), better known as Mother Teresa, in 1950 founded the Missionaries of Charity. Anjezë Gonxhe Bojaxhiu was born in Skopje-at the time, part of the Ottoman Empire. After eighteen years, she moved to Ireland and then to India, where she lived most of her life. Saint Teresa of Calcutta was canonised on 4 September 2016.


Mother Teresa received several honours, including the 1962 Ramon Magsaysay Peace Prize and the 1979 Nobel Peace Prize. Mother Teresa was admired by many for her charitable work.


In 1962, the Indian government awarded Mother Teresa the Padma Shri, one of its highest civilian honours, for her services to the people of India. In order to recognize the philanthropic work of Mother Teresa, the following scholarships are proposed to be offered:

Jyotirao Govindrao Phule (11 April 1827 – 28 November 1890) was an indian social activist, businessman, anti-caste social reformer, and writer from Maharashtra. His work extended to many fields, including the eradication of untouchability and the caste system, and for his efforts in educating women and the oppressed castes. He and his wife, Savitribai Phule, were pioneers of women's education in India. Mahatma Jyotiba Phule started his first school for girls in 1848 in Pune at Tatyasaheb Bhide's residence or bhidewada. He, along with his followers, formed the Satyashodhak Samaj (society of truth seekers) to attain equal rights for people from lower castes. People from all religions and castes could become a part of this association, which worked for the upliftment of the oppressed classes.  


In order to honour his contribution for the upliftment of lower caste people of society, SBUP proposes to introduce a scholarship in his name, the details of which are as follows:’


The main objective of this scholarship is to provide encouragement and to facilitate higher education to the students who belong to the reserved categories as per the following; 


The students from “Maharashtra state”, belonging to the Vimukta Jati (VJ), De-Notified Tribes (DT) (NT-A), Nomadic Tribes 1 (NT-B), Nomadic Tribes 2 (NT-C), Nomadic Tribes 3 (NT-D), Other Backward Class (OBC), Special Backward Class (SBC), Socially and Educationally Backward Class (SEBC), and who are in the non-creamy layer. 


The candidates should have scored equal to or greater than 60% marks at the SSC, HSC, and graduation examinations.
The scholarship will be 15% of two years academic fees of the concerned program.

 

Selection process 

A committee comprising university officials headed by the vice chancellor, will nominate the eligible students for this scholarship.

 

Fee structure   

15% of two years academic fees will be the scholarship for these students.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was an Indian ruler and a member of the Bhonsle Maratha clan. He initially served as the Jagirdar of Pune after 166,4, succeeding his father Shahaji. Eventually, Shivaji Maharaj carved out his own independent kingdom from the declining Adilshahi sultanate of Bijapur, which formed the genesis of the Maratha Empire. In 1674, he was formally crowned the Chhatrapati of his realm at Raigad Fort.


Over the course of his life, Shivaji Maharaj engaged in both alliances and hostilities with the Mughal Empire, the Sultanate of Golkonda, Sultanate of Bijapur, and the European colonial powers. Shivaji Maharaj established a competent and progressive civil rule with well-structured administrative organisations. The details of this scholarship are as follows:

  • The candidate should be a University/state-level sports person.
  • This scholarship will be of 25% of the two years Academic Fees.
  • The candidates should have scored min 60% marks at the Graduation examination.

In order to honour this meritorious contribution in various fields, it is proposed to offer the following scholarship to meritorious students.

  • The candidates should have scored a minimum of 75% marks at the SSC, HSC, and graduation examinations.
  • The scholarship will be for 10% of two years academic fees of the concerned program.

 

Selection process

A committee comprising university officials, headed by the vice chancellor, will nominate the eligible students for this scholarship.

 

Fee structure  

10% of two years academic fees will be the scholarship for these students.

The main objective of this scholarship is to provide encouragement and to facilitate higher education of meritorious children of employees of Sri Balaji University, Pune. 

  • Scholarship of 50% in tuition fee for the wards of SBUP employees, who have completed continuous five years of service in SBUP.  
  • Only one ward of the employee shall be accommodated in this scholarship.  
  • The scholarship amount can be considered 100% of the tuition fee in the 1st and 2nd year of the program for meritorious wards of SBUP non-teaching employees whose gross salary is up to Rs. 25000/- per month, on the following basis:-
  1. If you obtained a minimum of 70% marks and at least 80% attendance in the previous academic year.
  2. Recommendation letter for fulfilling the above mentioned conditions from the concerned director of the institute.

A committee comprising of university officials, headed by the vice chancellor, will nominate the eligible students for this scholarship.

 

Fee structure  

50% of the tuition fee will be a scholarship to these students, but it can be considered 100% of the tuition fee if he/she fulfill the criteria mentioned above in point number c.

Captain Vikram Batra (9 September 1974 – 7 July 1999) was an indian army officer. He was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra, the highest indian military decoration, for his actions during the Kargil War; on 7 July 1999, Captain Vikram Batra was killed while fighting Pakistani troops around area ledge, point 4875, in the Kargil district of erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir. In order to honour his contribution to the nation, SBUP proposes to introduce a scholarship in his name, the details of which are as follows:

  • Serving officer of the Indian Army on study leave to undergo an on-campus MBA program at Sri Balaji University, Pune.
  • The scholarship will be of 80% of two years academic fees

 

Selection process

A committee comprising university officials, headed by the vice chancellor, will nominate the eligible students for this scholarship.

80% of two years academic fees will be the scholarship to these students.

The details of the scholarship are as follows:

  1. This scholarship is for serving officers of the Indian Air Force and Indian Navy who on study leave to undergo on-campus mba program at sri balaji university, pune.
  2. The scholarship will be of 80% of two years academic fees for serving personnel to undergo on-campus MBA program at Sri Balaji University, Pune.

 

Selection process

A committee comprising of university officials headed by the vice chancellor will nominate the eligible students for this scholarship.

 

Fee structure  

80% of two years academic fees will be a scholarship to these students.

Number of scholarships: 14 (indian air force 08 seats and indian navy 06)

  4. Authority letter given by the Indian Air Force and Indian Navy authority to pursue MBA program at Sri Balaji University, Pune.

Note:

  • The list of eligible students who are finally selected for this scholarship will be declared after the completion of scholarship award process.
  • If the number of deserving candidates are more, then the amount shall be equally distributed among all selected students. This clause is applicable to prof. M. S. Pillai memorial scholarship.
  • All the documents/certificates which are submitted must be valid for the current academic year I.E. 2025-2026.
  • Supporting documents from the competent government authority will be scrutinized by the scholarship selection committee and if found incorrect, the scholarship facility will be withdrawn and the next eligible student will be considered.
  • If the student/s has paid the initial fees and subsequently selected for the scholarship the surplus amount paid by them (if any) will be refunded to him/her.
  • The decision of the scholarship selection committee would be the final and cannot be challenged.
